Highland Park is fast becoming Los Angeles’ hippest neighborhood, much to the chagrin of its long time residents. Auto parts stores and mechanics’ shops maintain a strong presence, but art galleries, tattoo parlors, and craft beer houses are taking over. Fortunately, the streets are still littered with beautifully cared for classics. I found this 1963 C/10 on the corner of Ave. 56 and York Blvd. As the sun retreated over the horizon, this owner’s passion for patina—and all things Chevy—resonated.
